Feng Tao’s research interests focus on the central mechanisms of analgesia and anesthesia. The goal of his work is to understand how the effects of analgesics and anesthetics on their neuronal targets are regulated. Dr. Justus Gross MD, PhD, is head of the department of Vascular Unit, Clinic for Cardio- Vascular Surgery, University Hospital Schleswig- Holstein, Kiel, Germany. The main focus is set at aortic treatments, such as complete open, complete endovascular and complex hybrid procedures. Approximately 250 Aortic cases are treated a year. The entire research group is busy in developing novel technologies according to stent- graft designs and finding solutions for endovascular treatment of the aortic arch.

Cardio- Vascular Surgery

His surgical training began Dr. Philippe SCHUCHT in the townships of South Africa in traumatology. After a surgical and neurological basic training in Zurich, he studied at the Department of Neurosurgery in Bern for neurosurgeons, where he devoted himself early complex operations for brain tumors and neurosurgery in children. A Fellowship with Prof. Duffau in Montpellier, the pioneer of surgery niedrigmaligner brain tumors also contributed to his training in how a Fellowship with Prof. Berger and Prof. Lawton in San Francisco, two leading luminaries of neuro-oncology and vascular neurosurgery. His scientific training began Dr. Philippe SCHUCHT at the Brain Research Institute in Zurich, where he participated in the investigation of possible therapies in spinal cord injury. In collaboration with Prof. Aguzzi neuropathology in Zurich he investigated nerve transplants and prions. In Prof. Duffau in Montpellier he explored the Motor Control Network and the importance of epilepsy in brain tumors. His current research focuses on maximizing patient safety during brain tumor surgery and the latest technology, which contribute to the optimization of tumor removal. Dr. Philippe SCHUCHT is a member of the Swiss Society of Neurosurgery, the Swiss Group for Clinical Cancer Research, the Swiss glioma Networks and the European Association of Neuro-oncology. He is co-founder of the Swiss Young Neurosurgeons which supports the education of young neurosurgeons in Switzerland and was its first president. He founded and is president of the Swiss Neurosurgeons International that humanitarian in developing countries, especially in Myanmar (Burma) and Vietnam, is active.

Dr.Mirko Omejc has received his PhD in University of Ljubljana during the period of 1996. Currently, he is working as Head of Department for Abdominal Surgery in University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. He has successfully completed his Administrative responsibilities as Professor of Surgery, Medical Faculty, University of Ljubljana.

With a medical degree in Italy, Rome, at The Catholic University of Holy Heart in 1987, and after having completed two resident program in General Surgery and Thoracic Surgery, Ferdinando Agresta served as consultant surgeon in the Community Hospital of Vittorio Veneto (TV) Italy and in Padua (Italy) and since 2011 he is the Chairman of the Department of Surgery at the Community Hospital of Adria (RO), Italy. His main field of interest is laparoscopy, above all the laparoscopic approach in the emergency situations. He has been the promoter and Chief of the Scientific Committee of several Consensus Conference on Laparoscopy and emergency, laparoscopy and incisional/ventral hernia, Laparoscopy and Appendectomy and Laparoscopy and cholecystectomy,. He is authors of more than 100 articles and editor of two books

Mohamed Sobhi Ahmed Zaki is Professor for Plastic Reconstructive Surgery of the Medicine-Cairo University. He has for full Resident of General& Plastic Surgery and Burns at Cairo University Hospitals. He has completed his fellowship in Massachusetts General Hospital & Shriners Burns Institute - Harvard Medical School, Boston. He won The Nation Prize for Medical Sciences -Egypt 1982, First Grade Medal for Sciences and Arts-Egypt 1984, Golden Medal of Massachusetts General Hospital - Harvard Medical School U.S.A. 1976. He is specialized in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Prof. Dr. Mohammad Abdel Aleem is Professor of Cardio Thoracic Surgery at Kaser Al Ayni Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University. He was graduated (1977) got his M. Sc General Surgery (1981) and M.D. Cardio_Thoracic surgery (1988). He had research work in both Cardiac and Thoracic surgery. His main domain is Thoracic surgery and he is the Head of Thoracic Surgery Unit at Cairo University Hospitals from 1988 till 2013 when he became an Emeritus Professor at the Department of Cardio_Thoracic Surgery. He consider Thoracic surgery is a challenging branch, very interesting and needs excellent talent and needs tedious hand craft .That is why Thoracic Surgery is his hobby during his clinical life. He has published a local book (Spot lights on Thoracic Trauma) that helps both under and post-graduates in their career and all surgeons dealing with trauma. He was honoured and proud of teaching most of the Thoracic surgeons allover Egypt the art of Thoracic Surgery.
